Yesterday, Tuesday, February 25th, I live tweeted the first hour of the democratic debate which took place on CBSNews. Concerning the debate, all the candidates who were running were present and ready to debate. This was a very important debate for the candidates, as winning over South Carolina would mean that they probably would be the leading Democratic candidate. Overall, the experience created out of the environment on screen was not positive. Due to every candidates separate agenda, there was no coordination or ease in which I could watch the debate and tweet; without feeling tired. For more than half of my viewing, the candidates were at each other’s throats and treated each other with hostility. Something that shouldn’t be happening in a party, but is now commonplace in our governmental politics. I believe that in this case, live-tweeting was not worth the time or fun; as everyone was biased towards different issues and if I wanted the highlights from the debate, I could check Twitter.
